I have spent about an hour piecing together the droid part of the kit. There are very few parts that allow you to create the battle droid so building this one was quite easy.
Since I will be building two droids, I still have the other one to do. | |
| And yes, here is the second droid! I finished it about a week after having partially completed the first one. I still have to reshape its arms in order to depict it as if it were holding a rifle. | |
| Speaking of the rifle, I tried building one from scratch. You can see part of my progress in this picture right here. | |
| Both arms are now glued to the kneeling droid. That is, one arm is glued firmly, the other is still waiting to dry... | |
| The droid that stands upright was taken apart today for I decided to build it so that it would be able to use the STAP. The legs and arms were ripped off. | |
| I assembled the STAP. It went together really fast, no problems at all. It is up for painting as I post this, but the photo shows it pre-painted. |

I painted the STAP in a rusty colour and added the detail colourings to the main guns and the handlebars.
Of course, the STAP needs to be weathered in order for it to match the ones used in the movies. |

| The droid that I built kneeling is nearly finished. As with the STAP, this part of the kit also needs weathering applied to it. |
